Insights Interview: Chris Dimitriadis, ISACA

AI is the biggest worry for cybersecurity professionals, according to ISACA. Only a small number of CISOs believe they ready for the risks that come with artificial intelligence, and related threats, including deepfakes.

AI is just one risk. Others include ransomware, more state-sponsored cyber attacks, regulatory complexity and of course, skills.

The past year has certainly not been easy for cybersecurity teams, especially in the UK. A spate of high-profile attacks have hit household names across retail and manufacturing, with disruption so severe it has hit the country’s GDP.

And it is too early to know the full impact of AI on cybersecurity, and whether it will be another threat, or force for good.

But, as our guest for this episode warns, there are longer-term challenges facing the industry too, not least around skills, recruitment and retention.

How, then, do cybersecurity professionals navigate their way through all these challanges? And what should they prioritise for 2026?

For this episode, we’re pleased to welcome back Chris Dimitriadis, chief global strategy officer at ISACA.
